Mission Statement


The mission of the Golden Resource for Education, Arts, and Theater (GREAT) is to enhance, promote, and enrich the Golden community’s cultural diversity in relation to the cinematic and performing arts. The Golden Film Festival aims to enrich Front Range communities by establishing a quality film and video forum that challenges, educates, and increases awareness of the importance of film as a valuable art form and method for communicating novel ideas. GREAT places primary emphasis on the artistic integrity of its festival, providing support and opportunity to independent filmmakers in Colorado and worldwide, while providing a unique venue for film in the community of Golden where no established movie theater currently exists.
